Q: Where are you located? Can I just pick up my order?
A: I'm located in Elkhorn, NE - just on the west end of Omaha. If you're local and would like to pick your order up rather than have it shipped, that's no problem! I have a great way for customers to pick up their orders at a time that is convenient for them. There are two ways to handle payment. 1) You can opt to pay online when you place your order - just select Local Pickup as your shipping option at checkout to waive the cost of shipping -OR - 2) Select "cash on delivery" as the payment method and pay with cash or check at pickup. If you opt to pay at pickup, please note that it must be picked up within three days unless other arrangements have been made. Feel free to round down to the nearest dollar so there is no need to leave change.
Once your order is ready, you’ll receive a notice that it has “shipped”, but the tracking number will just state that it is ready. This means that you can come pick up your order at any time, and to just let me know if you need the address or instructions.
Q: How much is shipping?
A: Orders over $45 as well as those that include a VIP Box or Gift Set will ship for free. Otherwise, I charge a flat, low-cost rate to help offset (but not even fully cover) the costs I pay for shipping.
Q: Can your earrings be safe for sensitive or recently pierced ears?
A: YES! The silver toned hooks and posts I use are hypoallergenic stainless steel, so they're great for sensitive ears, and that's what I use at least 99% of the time. Hooks in other colors and hardware/rings are nickel free. I have had many, many people tell me that Hooked Earrings are the only ones they haven't had sensitivity issues with.
Q: Do you use any vegan or faux leather?
A: Everything you will see posted to my page is genuine leather unless it is labeled otherwise. I make cork, wooden and glitter dangle earrings, which are all vegan-friendly and labeled accordingly.
Q: do you offer gift cards?
A: I sure do! To purchase one, just use the link HERE. Some info about gift cards:
- to purchase a gift card for someone else, simply print or forward the gift card email you receive after check out.
- to redeem a gift card, enter its unique code at checkout. The code is not case sensitive.
- gift cards hold a balance and can be used over more than one order
- they are applied to the total value of the order, which may include tax and shipping.
Q: Is there anywhere local that I can shop your earrings in person?
A: The best selection will always be here on my website, and I typically fill local pickup orders very quickly... if you're in a time crunch and have to order last minute, just send me a message and I'll see if I can accommodate! There are also a handful of great local small businesses that carry Hooked Earrings and I typically share updated information on my social media pages. One local place that I stock personally and control the selection of inventory at is Gigi's Cupcakes in West Omaha near Village Pointe! If you check out the "Shop Local" corner to the left as you enter the shop, you'll see Hooked Earrings.
Q: I've lost some of my earring backs! Can I get more?
A: of course! Just add a note with your next order and I'll toss some in.

Q: How do you cut your leather? Where do you buy your supplies?
A: Many different ways, many different places. :) I started from scratch and have invested a lot time, money, and effort in experimenting with these things and determining what is best for my business. I choose to keep all of that information to myself.
Q: Do you do wholesale?
